Innovative Community Participation is designed to help NDIS participants build social skills, confidence, and independence through creative, skill-based, and community-focused activities. It’s about more than just social outings, it’s about discovering new passions and connecting with others.
Yes, if your NDIS plan includes “Capacity Building” or “Increased Social and Community Participation,” you may be eligible. Your Support Coordinator or LAC can confirm if this service is funded in your plan.
Activities vary based on your interests and goals. Examples include art workshops, cooking classes, community volunteering, fitness groups, skill-based training, and joining local clubs or hobby groups.
